Awesomenauts is a Mobile Online Battlefield Arena type game in a 2D platforming setting. I just got the link for this video as a preview of the soundtrack that will ship with the game when it is released for xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network.

The Awesomenauts are an elite team of mercenaries fighting for the spoils of war in the year 3587. There are six unique playable heroes and up to six players can play simultaneously online in the same match. Each has their own set of skills and upgrades. Over 100 unique items can be unlocked to customize and upgrade your personal play style. The arenas themselves are located across several settings including multiple exotic planets and alien spaceships.

I’ve been considering the purchase of an Xbox and Awesomenauts looks like a solid mark in favor of that. Watch the video and let me know if you are going to play in the comments. The soundtrack in the intro definitely reminds me of the 80s.
